"WASHINGTON (Dunya News) – Pakistan’s Ambassador Asim Iftikhar on Tuesday emphasized the need for a complete and immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
While briefing the United Nations Security Council here, Ambassador Iftikhar said the Security Council should stand firm against the forcible eviction of Palestinians from Gaza Strip.
“Israel's illegal occupation is the root cause of instability in the Middle East,” he said and stressed the international community to prioritize the establishment of sustainable peace in the occupied Palestinian territories.
The ambassador stated that Israel's aggression in the West Bank must be stopped immediately, as stability cannot be achieved through occupation and coercion.
